Hailing from New Jersey, Deanna Brooks is ready to make her mark on the bustling dance scene of Los Angeles. Embarking on her dance journey at the age of four at LaDanse School of Performing Arts in Linden, New Jersey, Deanna's passion for dance flourished from the moment she set foot in the studio. Her training spans a diverse range of styles, including salsa, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, and musical theater, with numerous accolades earned through participation in dance competitions.

Deanna's pivotal moment arrived when she earned a scholarship to the Hollywood Summer Tour. This experience proved transformative as she learned from esteemed instructors such as Derek Mitchell, Menina Fortunato, G. Madison, Anthony Carr, and Brinn Nicole. Embracing the dynamic life of a dancer in LA, Deanna immersed herself in open classes, photoshoots, and a Michael Jackson reprise music video “Black or White” filmed at Paramount Studios, solidifying her love and dedication to the art of dance.

Deanna relocated to Los Angeles after graduating from high school, where she currently pursues her BFA in Commercial Dance at AMDA DTLA. Her commitment to continuous improvement is evident through her creative ventures, including conceptual choreography videos and the organization of “Festival of the Arts”, a charity event. In Los Angeles, she has expanded her artistic horizons by training with renowned instructors such as Joe Brown, Naythaniel Tavcar, Gerran Reese, Desi Jevon, Johnnie Hobbs, Kedua, and others. Complementing her dance training, Deanna has delved into acting under the guidance of Wayne T. Carr, Matthew Kirkwood, and Katie Northlich.

Deanna's professional journey in LA includes captivating performances in live sho shows Revenite, Les Femmes, Hip Hop Battle, Up Next Fighting Halftime, and Scream Parody Musical. Most recently, Deanna performed with Usher, Ludacris, Alicia Keys, Lil Jon, Jermaine Dupree, will.i.am, and H.E.R at the LVIII Super Bowl Halftime Show in Las Vegas as a member of the Field Cast. Her portfolio extends to various films, dance productions, and music videos, including notable works like "Free Clout No Tags," "She Bad," "Mumbo Jumbo Ache," and "Black is Beauty." Beyond her academic training, Deanna enriches her skills by attending classes at esteemed local studios such as Eighty Eight, GoOff Studio, and West Coast Dance Theater.

As a dancer, Deanna embraces the philosophy of allowing her heart to lead her movements, with her body as its graceful follower. Her approach prioritizes the sensation of joy and self-expression over the pursuit of external aesthetics. Deanna values the authenticity derived from embracing one's true self and avoiding overthinking. In choreography, she distinguishes herself by maintaining precision while infusing her distinctive individuality into the dance, creating a unique and captivating blend of technique and personal expression.

Beyond the dance floor, Deanna finds joy in baking, cooking, and fashion. A creative at heart, she enjoys crafting marketing materials like dance class posters and graphics. Looking ahead, Deanna aspires to seamlessly merge film, fashion, and dance, envisioning a future where these elements converge in her artistic expression. Fueled by passion, work ethic, and undeniable talent, Deanna Brooks eagerly anticipates the exciting twists her career journey will take next.
